On Culture Night, we open the doors to the Old Stage, where visitors can enjoy ballet performances throughout the evening or explore behind the scenes.

Participation in Culture Night activities is free of charge, but requires a valid Culture Pass.
Throughout Culture Night, the Old Stage will host performances by students from The Royal Danish Ballet School, ballet aspirants, and dancers from the Royal Danish Ballet. Visitors will be able to experience excerpts from the ballet Jewels as well as rehearsals from the upcoming ballet premiere Jane Eyre.
During the evening, pianists Ulrik Vesti, Alison Smith and Kelly Lenahan will perform music by a wide range of composers.
Stage Route and Tailors’ Workshop
Visitors can also choose to follow the ‘Stage Route’, offering a glimpse of the areas surrounding the stage, or the ‘Tailors’ Route’, where a number of the theatre’s highly skilled tailors and textile designers will share insights into their work.
Both routes are open throughout the evening and do not require advance booking. Unfortunately, they are not suitable for visitors with reduced mobility.

Doors open at 6pm and close at 10.30pm, with the last guests leaving by 11pm.
