WRRC Copenhagen 26 - 18.-20. september

The World Championships in three different running distances will take place in Copenhagen on the weekend of September 19-20.

The event will result in parking bans on several streets starting on Friday, September 18, as well as street closures on the routes during the weekend.

KOREORAMA is The Royal Danish Ballet’s development initiative focusing on the ballet choreographers and choreography of the future.

The main ambition of the project is to develop a diverse range of new ballet choreographers, who can become driving forces in the development of ballet, both nationally and internationally.

As an art form, ballet is situated in the present and performed by young people, whose bodies are vessels for the tendencies of today and the potentials of tomorrow. From our point of view, there’s great potential for development in giving these artists a platform to express themselves through choreographic experiments connecting the classical steps with contemporary life experiences and forward-looking artistic perspectives. We believe that the classical steps of ballet can serve as the foundation of artistic innovation and physical breakthroughs within ballet.

The development initiative centers around a talent programme by which we cultivate the choreographic talents of the ballet company through custom-designed developmental programs.
