Tæt på kunsten - Innocence

Tæt på kunsten - Innocence

An exclusive special event focusing on Kaija Saariaho’s critically acclaimed opera Innocence.

An exclusive special event for Sæson+, 6+, 3+ and Ung+ members.

Join us this evening as we take an in-depth look at the production of the opera Innocence, a disturbing and poignant musical narrative about the trauma and aftermath of a school shooting.

Innocence was composed by the recently deceased Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, with a libretto by the Finnish author Sofi Oksanen, translated by Aleksi Barrière. In a conversation with cast members from the production and featuring a guest appearance by the three opera enthusiasts from Operarejsen – Allan Gravgaard Madsen, Rasmus Bruun and Frederik Cilius – we will discuss the work and the music in Simon Stone’s critically acclaimed original staging. Opera dramaturg Jørgen Hansen will moderate the discussion, and musical excerpts from the production will be performed throughout.
