Morten Eggert

Education: The Royal Danish Ballet School
Career: In 1996 he became an apprentice, and in 1998 he was engaged as a ballet dancer at the Royal Danish Ballet where he was appointed soloist in 2001.
At The Royal Danish Theatre: Has performed as a soloist in numerous ballets including Jardi Tancat, Giselle, Stepping Stones, Fearful Symmetries and A Folk Tale. He has performed as the Jester in Swan Lake, Carelis in The Kermesse in Bruges, Offenbach in Gaité Parisienne, Hamlet in Such Sweet Thunder, Shy Boy in The Concert, Blue Bird in The Sleeping Beauty, Gurn in La Sylphide, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid, Muri in A Folk Tale, the Circus Manager in The Kermesse in Bruges and not least as Abdallah in Abdallah.
Prizes and scholarships: Was awarded the Bartholin Foundation Grant and the Balanchine Grant in 1997. He was awarded the Reumert Talent Prize in 2000.
