Julie Hega
Julie Hega is a French-Cameroonian artist based in Paris. She is an actress & singer. After 10 years at the Conservatory of Caen (France) where she studied cello, singing and orchestra, she passions for theater and plastic art, which enhance her multidisciplinary artistic practice. She works with Thomas Jolly on “Le Ciel La Nuit et la Pierre Glorieuse”, in Festival d’Avignon in 2016. She plays in 2017 in “Sombre Rivière”, created at the National Strasbourg Theater and directed by Lazare. She is nominated Talent Adami Théâtre and works with Samuel Achache and Jeanne Candel in “La Chute de la Maison” at the Festival d’Automne (Paris). In 2019 she plays the part of Desdemone in “ Othello “ at the Théâtre de La Ville (Paris). She is developing her opera singing skills with Elène Golgevit and Nikola Takov. In 2022 she is soloist in the opera “My invisible soul” at the Academy of the international festival of Aix-en-Provence and she plays in “The color of trees” a film directed by Marina Dumont Anastassiadou. She is currently writing and directing a short film “DON QUICHOTTE BAUCHGEFÜHL” after a first musical residency at the international festival of Aix-en-Provence. In 2024, she plays in “Le beau rôle” a film directed by Victor Rodenbach. In 2026, she made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. In 2026 she is playing in HONDA ROMANCE directed by Vimala Pons. In France she is represented in film by agent François Tessier at Agence Aimant.
