What was the first ballet you saw?
The first time I ever saw a professional ballet was on a VHS tape, and it was Mikhail Baryshnikov and Natalia Makarova who danced Giselle.
Why did you start dancing?
I started dancing at the age of 8 after watching a friend’s ballet performance and I fell in love with it at once.
What is so special about the Royal Danish Ballet?
The supportive and caring environment that is in the company.
What is your favorite dancing step?
The pirouette.
Who is your favorite dancer?
My twin brother Vítor de Menezes who inspires me every day to keep working hard.
Who is your roomie at the theatre?
James Clark.
What is your favorite holiday destination?
Brazil and Japan.
Where can we find you on a day off?
On my couch eating fresh pastries.
Fun facts:
I have a twin brother who is also a dancer in the company.
I first came to the Royal Danish Ballet as an exchange dancer in 2017 and after a year away I rejoined the company in 2018.
