ISCENESÆTTE OVERSETE FORTÆLLINGER

Experience a conversation based on the performance “SUERSAQ”.

Experience a conversation between the artistic director of Nunatta Isiginnaartitsisarfia/The Greenlandic National Theatre Vivi Sørensen, actor Hans-Henrik Suarsaq, and the artistic director of the Canadian theatre company Native Earth Performing Arts, Joelle Peters. Based on the performance “SUERSAQ”, they revisit and focus on the narratives and worldviews of Indigenous peoples, which have so often been suppressed, using the remnants of documentation that exist. How can these remnants be renegotiated through art?

The conversation will take place in English and will be moderated by Associate Professor at the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, Cecilie Ullerup Schmidt.
