Experience Aalborg Teater’s critically acclaimed community play "Ukrainian Women."

Look forward to Aalborg Teater’s critically acclaimed community play "Ukrainian Women" when it visits CPH STAGE. On February 24, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine. The war has forced many Ukrainians to leave their homes. Women have left their husbands. Children have left their fathers. In Aalborg alone, around 1,000 Ukrainians who fled the war now reside. The news cycle focuses on global politics, military aid, superpowers, (failed) peace agreements, chaos, and weapon systems. But in this community stage production, we give a voice to those it is actually about: women who have fled, but who have no voice in the news cycle. Here, seven Ukrainian women take the stage and share their experiences, joys, and sorrows in a life that – for all of them – was changed in an instant when the war reached them. The performance is curated and presented by CPH STAGE in collaboration with Aalborg Teater and the Royal Danish Theatre.
