A unique concert in a regal setting
The Australian singer and producer, known for his beautiful, melancholic vocals and atmospheric compositions, will take to the stage at the Royal Theatre’s Old Stage on 15 April 2027. He will be presenting his new album, Dusk.
Ry Cuming, better known as RY X, is a man of many talents.
An enigmatic solo artist with breathtakingly melancholic vocals and beautiful, atmospheric compositions. A Grammy-nominated producer. A collaborator with stars such as Drake, Diplo and John Legend, and with renowned orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the London Philharmonic. A composer for the Gothenburg Opera and several contemporary dance productions.
Whichever direction he extends his versatile artistic tentacles, he does so with sophisticated artistic flair and a deep emotional resonance that touches upon humanity’s deepest connections to nature, spirituality and our own sensitivity and vulnerability.
As RY X, he has, throughout his 20-year career, thrilled audiences across the globe with his masterful blend of folk-tinged guitar, breathtaking electronic soundscapes and bright, raw vocals – not unlike colleagues such as Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens. These are also the cornerstones of his latest album, Blood Moon, released in 2022 to rave reviews from, amongst others, GAFFA, which awarded it 5 stars under the headline: “A five-star journey of the soul that seduces with bombastic climactic crescendos”.
Now, the Los Angeles-based Australian ‘music shaman’ is preparing a new album, titled Dusk, which is scheduled for release in early 2027. To mark the occasion, his Danish fans can look forward to a very special concert experience. On 15 April 2027, RY X will perform at the Royal Theatre’s Old Stage, whose historic and regal setting adds an extra dimension to his beautiful, contemplative compositions.
