The Incredible Bus - on tour

Life in Ahnstarr City is not easy for Taku, Spir and their friends. Their small wooden houses on the harbour are about to be demolished, and little Timo is seriously ill from the pollution in the city. Only the rare saffron lily, which according to legend grows in the dreamland of Balanka, can cure him. When two old Phantom-8 jet engines from a failed expedition 25 years ago are uncovered and the plasma generator is brought back to life, Spir gets an idea: let’s build a giant bus and travel to Balanka. Everyone joins in, and soon the fantastic bus is ready to depart with little Timo, Mrs Fribo and their friends from the harbour.

The journey is perilous, as the bus must cross the steepest bridge to the North Pole, travel through icy landscapes and, not least, reach the Last Land, where the Dictator reigns. Will the bus succeed in making it all the way to Balanka?

The Fantastic Bus was completely sold out when The Royal Danish Theatre staged the story in autumn 2025 at Skuespilhuset. Now the production is coming to Musikhuset, so be sure to secure your tickets before the doors close and the journey begins towards a land where anything can happen.
