Almanak i Operaen takes its name from the old Danish word for annual calendar. This is simply because Almanak i Operaen follows the seasons, so that our dishes throughout the year provide a snapshot of the taste of Denmark.
The restaurant is open to everyone – a lunch with a view, a bountiful seafood platter, or a fine dinner in Copenhagen before a performance at the Opera House. You do not need a ticket to a performance to enjoy sustainable gastronomy in the Opera's spectacular surroundings, which invite both a cozy lunch with a view over Copenhagen and grand dinners with fine wines.
