Since the 1770ies the Royal Theatre has supplied professional training that produces dancers for the Royal Danish Theatre’s own company. During the past 200 years the Ballet School has therefore been one of the key contributors in establishing the Royal Danish Ballet’s current world-wide fame. Our comprehensive and renowned training has produced ballet-dancers of international magnitude, which have thrilled Danish audiences and also harvested great recognition abroad.

The Ballet School at the Royal Theatre includes approximately 60-70 pupils ageing 6 – 16 years. They all receive daily ballet tuition and a comprehensive education at the Reading School. Any tuition is free of charge
